The MSR complex contained the main administrative and housing areas for the Mickelsen complex. In addition
to the headquarters, administrative buildings, and motor pool facilities, the site contained familiy housing
units as well as enlisted / officer bachelor quarters. Approximately 800 military and civilian personnel
were assigned to the MSR complex.
Amenities included a PX, commissary, chapel, dispensary, gymnasium, ball fields,
tennis courts, and a community center complete with bowling alley.
